MIAMI - Sixteen Cuban migrants have been sent back to Bahia de Cabañas,
Cuba, Sunday by the crew of the U.S. Coast Guard cutter William Trump.
The repatriations are the result of two migrant interdictions in the
south Florida Straits, according to the Coast Guard.
The Coast Guard reports 269 Cuban migrants attempted to reach U.S.
shores in February and that it has noticed an increase in illegal
migration from Cuba since the United States began to normalize relations
with the communist island nation in 2014.
