Hotel trade group spends $305,000 lobbying in 2Q
The Associated Press
WASHINGTON -- The American Hotel & Lodging Association spent $305,000 in
the second quarter lobbying federal officials on labor issues, matters
affecting small businesses and other items, according to a recent
disclosure report.
That's less than the $350,000 the group spent lobbying in the same
period last year and even with the $305,000 the group spent in the first
quarter.
The trade group, which represents hotel companies, also lobbied the
federal government on travel to Cuba, immigration and pool and spa
safety in the quarter from April through June.
The trade group lobbied both houses of Congress, the Departments of
Labor, Commerce and Homeland Security, the Consumer Product Safety
Commission and others, according to a disclosure report it filed July 20
with the House clerk's office.
