Coast Guard Repatriates 10 Migrants to Cuba
MIAMI April 26, 2013 (AP)
Ten migrants were returned to Cuba after the U.S. Coast Guard
intercepted their vessels at sea.
The Coast Guard found the two vessels at sea Wednesday.
The Miami Herald (http://hrld.us/17m6eNv) reports the Coast Guard Cutter
Knight Island repatriated the migrants at Bahia de Cabañas, Cuba.
Coast Guard Capt. Brendan McPherson told the Herald the people aboard
the vessels are putting their lives at "extreme risk."
Last week the Coast Guard picked up four people aboard a rickety vessel
in the Caribbean Sea. The Herald reports that six more migrants were
found a day later on a raft near Marathon in the Florida Keys."
